Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information we collect when you sign up for the Eden's Rise newsletter, how we use it, who processes it on our behalf, and the rights you have over your data. "We," "us," and "our" refer to Ironthale Press LLC, publisher of Eden's Rise by O.E. Bruening.

The Eden's Rise newsletter has three signup options. We only collect what each one requires:

• Email newsletter — your email address.
• Physical postcard — your name and postal mailing address, submitted through a Tally form.
• Text message alert — your mobile phone number and country code.

When you submit a signup form we also receive basic technical information from your browser (IP address, user agent, timestamp) that our spam protection and email service use to verify the request is legitimate.

• To send you the messages you signed up for: occasional email updates (no more than four per year), a postcard when a new book opens for preorder, or a single SMS when a new book opens for preorder.
• To confirm your subscription and protect the signup forms from spam and abuse.
• To measure how many people sign up so we can understand interest in the book.

We do not sell your information. We do not share it with advertisers. We do not use it to build a profile of you beyond your subscription preferences.

We use a small number of third-party services to operate the newsletter. Each has its own privacy policy:

• Brevo (formerly Sendinblue) — stores your email address or phone number and delivers the email and SMS messages. See Brevo's privacy policy.
• Tally — hosts the postcard signup form and stores the name and postal address you submit. See Tally's privacy policy.
• Cloudflare Turnstile — provides spam protection on the email and SMS forms. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
• Google Analytics — gives us aggregate, anonymized traffic statistics for the site. See Google's privacy policy.
• GitHub Pages — hosts this website and may log standard request information. See GitHub's privacy statement.

This site uses a small number of cookies and similar local storage:

• A theme preference (dark or light) saved in your browser's local storage so the site remembers your choice.
• Google Analytics cookies for aggregate visitor measurement.
• Cookies set by Cloudflare Turnstile when you interact with the spam-protection challenge.

No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies are used.

We keep your contact information for as long as you remain subscribed. If you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your record, we remove it from our active mailing list. Service providers may retain backup copies for a limited time as described in their own policies.

• Unsubscribe at any time. Every email contains an unsubscribe link. To stop SMS alerts, reply STOP to any text we send. To stop postcards, email us.
• Access or correct the information we hold about you by emailing us.
• Request deletion of your record by emailing us. We will remove it from our active systems.
• If you are in the EU, UK, or California, you have additional rights under the GDPR, UK GDPR, or CCPA. Contact us using the address below and we will respond in line with those laws.

The newsletter is intended for adult readers. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has signed up, contact us and we will delete the record.

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the date at the top of the page. Material changes will be communicated through the newsletter itself.
